Rocky

Rocky the pretty palomino gelding that has been with me the last few years will be going to a new home on Wednesday.  My good friend Sandy (owner of the gorgeous black gelding Motown) is taking him.  She came to meet him today and ride him.  Rocky liked her.  When she turned him out in the pasture after we were done, he didn't go off to other horses but stood with Sandy as she rubbed on him.  Then he still stood there after we moved off to the van for them to leave.  He finally walked down to the other horses but he was alongside the driveway next to them as they were driving out, then he trotted and cantered to the others.  It was like he wanted to stay close to Sandy.  The other thing he did that I found interesting was when I was riding him for her to see and she was sitting on the rail, he kept trying to go over to her at the rail, his desire was very strong.  I feel really good about this.  Sandy recently lost two of her old senior mares, one just last week so she didn't want Motown to be alone. Even though she has two donkeys they aren't buddies with Mo.  Now Mo will have someone his own age to run and play with.

Sandy will be the perfect owner for Rocky.  My heart is happy!
