The night before the wind storm we had a lot of rain. And then it got cold. I walked up to check the fence lines at the top of the property in the woods, to make sure there had not been any trees blown down on the fencing. As I walked along the wood path I glanced over into the back field and saw a LAKE! It was a big area of water in a low area. I wished I had my camera then. Yesterday I took the dogs for a walk and this was what was left of the standing water, a little frozen patch of broken ice. I am sure the horses had traipsed through there. It looked so odd, like plastic pieces or glass. I took a picture. Mystery solved!
